About PartyMap: What this site does and does not do

PartyMap is for people who live in New Zealand and want clear, sourced election information without a party recommendation.

PartyMap does not tell you how to vote or calculate a best-match score. It turns party publications, institutional records and independent official evidence into readable, traceable pages.

Editorial independence

  • No party, candidate or advertiser can buy a more favourable summary.
  • Parties may identify factual errors but cannot remove accurate, sourced criticism or public records.
  • Advertising and editorial decisions remain separate in presentation, data and process.
  • Funding sources, advertising categories and material conflicts of interest will be disclosed.

Editorial responsibility and contact

PartyMap is an independently operated New Zealand election-information site. The site publisher is responsible for selecting topics, writing summaries, checking sources, maintaining translations and publishing corrections.

No political party, candidate, government body, source or advertiser reviews or approves editorial copy before publication. Contact PartyMap about factual errors, source gaps, translation, accessibility or privacy.

Current funding

PartyMap currently has no advertising revenue, sponsorship or political party funding. This page and the advertising policy will be updated before any funding model changes.

Translation policy

English is the editorial reference version. Every supported language follows the same evidence, identifiers and update dates. Official party and source names may remain in English, and translation corrections follow the same public corrections process.

PartyMap is not an official agency

PartyMap is not the Electoral Commission, Parliament, a government department or a political party. Voting eligibility, voting places and final election arrangements must be checked with Vote NZ and the Electoral Commission.
