The Electoral Commission's final candidate list is not yet available. PartyMap will not treat party announcements as the official list. Nominations close on 8 October 2026.

Voting
Voting dates are scheduled and election day is 7 November 2026. The voting guide explains enrolment, overseas voting, early voting and special votes.

No 2026 votes have been counted. Preliminary results begin after voting closes, and official results are scheduled for 27 November 2026.

Government formation
Government formation cannot begin until the result shows which parties may command confidence in the House. Official agreements will be linked when they exist.
Electorates and candidates
An electorate is the local contest decided by your electorate vote. It is separate from the party vote that usually determines each party's overall share of seats.
The official candidate list is still pending
Parties may announce candidates before nominations close, but only the Electoral Commission's published list is treated as the complete official record.
PartyMap will add candidate-by-electorate coverage only after the official list is published.

Results and government formation
Election-night totals are preliminary. Special votes, validation, recounts and the official allocation of seats can change the final picture.

Party vote, electorate vote and indicative seat totals will be recorded after voting closes on 7 November 2026. They will remain labelled preliminary.
Official results
The Electoral Commission is scheduled to declare official results on 27 November 2026 after special votes and formal checks are included.
Coalition and support agreements
PartyMap will track signed coalition, confidence and supply, or support agreements from official government and party publications. Negotiation reports will not be presented as settled agreements.
