How a correction is handled

  1. Check the primary source against the current page.

  3. Update the page and record the correction date and reason.
  4. Keep a public record for material corrections instead of removing the earlier context.

Correction: wording of National's education commitment

Removed an unsupported relation between NCEA and regular assessment.

Why it changed
The original text read three parallel commitments in the source as one replacing another. The source does not say NCEA would be replaced with regular assessment.
Previous wording
replace NCEA with regular assessment and teaching the basics
Corrected wording
replace NCEA, bring in regular assessment and teach the basics well

What is not a factual correction

Disliking an accurate quotation, wanting a more favourable summary or requesting a campaign slogan does not make the published text factually wrong. PartyMap reviews balance and accuracy but does not replace verifiable wording with unsupported promotion.
